How to transplant roses

So many gardeners realize it's too late, after planting a rose in a less than ideal. If this is the case with you, do not need to be afraid to move the rose bush. Armed with the knowledge of the transplantation of roses, you can safely move the rose a better new home.

Transplant roses is better at the end of winter. Waiting until after the last frost (you need to do some 'educated guess there), but before the buds appear on treesprepare the new planting site. Dig a large hole, mix the soil with compost and a handful of each bone and use it to cover the interior walls. Pour the water into the hole until it is half full and leave to soak

So prepare your roses for the move. Sun work against you, so be transplanted on a cloudy day or at dusk. Cut the top growth, so that Bush will be manageable, then dig around your rose, far enough away from the root, so you can maintain areal ball. The bigger the root ball can be quiet, the more likely your roses will bloom after transplanting. The more roots and the soil can be kept together to keep that ball, the better. Ideally the ball should be the same size as the "drip line" of your dandruff, which is outside the perimeter or edge of the main growth. In other words, when you transplant your rose around the ball the same size plant growth above ground. DanCarefully place the root ball in a wheelbarrow or a cart and move the rose garden at her new place.

If you are transplanting your tree from a pot, cut the roots that first caught the ball on the ground. Also check for "root circling in container roses - not the roots grow downward, but they started around the root ball horizontally. Cut the roots in a circle, but in a way to keep them as long as possible. For ' sure plantSpread the roots so they do not circle. Circling roots are the sign of a weakened plant. If you find that many of the roses you buy from a dealer circling roots, always consider the roses from another source.

Move the rose bush (and trees), as gently as possible. No matter how careful you are, however, it is likely that some roots will break. If none of the tribe or damaged branches should be fine.Once the ball in the hole, fill the space around them with additional soil / compost / flour mixture. Press the soil firmly so that no air bubbles. Water your shrub, then cover the area around the hole with bark chips or other organic mulch. You should therefore make sufficient bedding is 3-4 inches thick.

The water rose again the next day and following days. Keep a particularly close eye on your roses for the next few weeks, irrigation often. Wait until youfertilizer growth warning new to add. Buttons on the rose bush indicates that he is happy in his new home.
