A New Choice Hydrangea with variegated leaves

In Carroll Gardens, you can not get enough of hydrangea innovation introduced in recent years. From 'Endless Summer' hydrangea, in 2003, we saw a choice introductions such as 'Forever & Ever, Forever & Ever Double Pink'','' Forever & Ever Red' and 'The Bride'.

Variegated hydrangeas are used to brighten shady gardens for at least 100 years. I grew up as a child in my fern garden. Each colored hydrangeas Ihave never found a major flaw --- the little blooms non-existent. For whatever reason, all variegated lace cap hydrangeas are in bloom, even if they originate, such as sports (mutations) of the mop head hydrangeas.

Recently, the popular re-blooming hydrangea Endless Summer was a variegated lace cap mutation. This plant is called the Day 'Light O'. Compared to other variegated hydrangeas, a flowering more reliable, and hardness at least as off-whitevariation. Do not expect Day 'Light O' again flourish as Endless Summer, but any bloom from a variegated hydrangea in the shade is a blessing. And you certainly more flowers by Day 'Light O' than any other variegated hydrangea grown in similar conditions. For maximum bloom production, choose a place that is light gray, dappled shade or morning sun with afternoon shade.

The inner flowers are pink or blue, depending on soil acidity.Around the inner flowers are pure white flowers. 'Light O' Day 'will reach about four feet high and four feet wide. It prefers moist soil (not wet) in a location with afternoon shade and morning sun. 'Light O' Day 'is an excellent choice for the woodland garden or along the North side of the house or garage.
